Rule (3):Those sentences in which verbs are followed by modal verb, such as can, could, may, might, should, would, there will be no change in the modal verbs and be is added after the modals and is followed by V3.

Active: They can help you.

Passive: You can be helped by them.

Rule (4):In some sentences verb with ‘to’ comes after has, have, or verbs with ‘to’. While changing those sentences from active to passive voice, ‘to be’ comes after verb to be and V3 comes at the end.

Active: He was to bring you here

Passive: You were to be brought here by him.

Rule (5):Some sentences have two objects: (i) Direct object (ii) Indirect object

While interchanging those sentences into passive voice Indirect Object should be used at the place of Subject.

Active: He teaches me Hindi.

Passive: I am taught Hindi by him.

Rule (6):If the sentences having Double Objects begin with Let, then Direct Object is used at the place of object in the Passive Voice.

Active: Let him bring a glass of water.

Passive: Let a glass of water be brought by him.

Continuous Tense

Present Continuous:
