How to change your (or any) sprite on the game.

Nobody asked ME, but I HAVE seen some asks, so why not?

First, go to your game file and select the “Graphics” folder, and go under “Characters.”

Search for the desired character sprite. (The trainer sprites are all the way at the bottom, for the most part.) Obviously, you should use a character you can actually PLAY as, if you want to change your own looks.

I think for this, I’ll use the May sprite.

Put the desired file on paint and edit it in a way you want. (Also, keep in mind that these sprites are 200x200 their original size!)

I think I’m just gonna recolor May’s clothes purple, and take away her backpack for some of her sprites. (Only some. I don’t actually plan on using it throughout the game!)

Drag the image. See the white? We’ll fix that.

First, use a color that you haven’t used for your sprite, and splash that onto the background.

Edit - Transparent, and it will ask you to click on the color you want to be transparent.

THIS is why I told you to splash the background with a different color. It wouldn’t be a problem if there’s NO white on your sprite, but there is in this case.

How To Download Pokemon Sprites Emulator

Now this is VERY important! Change your file name to “ALL!” (Or .PNG, if that’s an option.)

Go to the “Characters” file under the main game file again and find your sprites, and try to save it under that file. It will ask you if you want to overwrite the file. Say “yes.”

Since I decided to use May as my guinea sprite, I’ll have to change my “costume” in the Secret Base. (After it’s been upgraded once. I THINK this can be done by buying everything and then talking to the purple gem.)
